After a slight break, I’m back with an update on our flooring project. Poor B has been working every spare minute he gets in the evenings and the weekends to keep the project moving forward so that we can get our house put back together. He has also been helping me a lot with work in the shop after working a long day at his own job. He’s really been amazing.
The progress since finishing the dining room slowed because the living/family room is more than double the size. Coupled with the fact that he also had to remove the old hardwood flooring our entry hall, he’s simply had a lot of extra work to do. B had done a great job though and with it almost done, we are both amazed at what a difference the new floors have made.
With just the entry hall to finish, the plan is to finish laying the floors by the weekend so we have those two days to sand, clean and seal the floors. I guess you know what we’ll be doing all weekend!
