Simple and Clean Thanksgiving Tablescape in Teal and Ivory

At Home· Fall Decorating· Kitchen & Dining· Seasonal & Holidays· Tablescapes· Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is almost here and I’m super excited because it’s my favorite holiday of the entire year.  It’s the one holiday centered around family and friends sitting around a table enjoying each other’s company enjoying great food and being thankful for all of our blessings.

B and I usually split our holiday between both of our parents’ homes so it’s usually a long day but unlike Christmas, the pace is a bit slower.

Even though B and I aren’t hosting Thanksgiving dinner in our home, I wanted  to set a Thanksgiving table that we can enjoy as well. I wanted to keep it simple but still make it pretty.

My mother recently gave me this set of dishes.  They are a set of dishes that my grandmother pieced together for my mom as part of her “hope chest”.  I remember these dishes in our home as a small child but it had been decades since I saw them last.

They are more of a retro style but the colors are great and I love the history so I was anxious to play around with making them fit into my decor.

I kept the place settings simple.  Only adding these teal napkins. Our oak farm table is so lovely, I chose to use only a table runner.  The light grey stripe is a great neutral option and I love how the table runner anchors the table.

After playing around with a mix of candles, pumpkins and greenery, I finally settled on this simple centerpiece.  Our table is so long, the long and low design works well and doesn’t interfere with your view across the table.

I love the unexpected pops of teal but how everything else is light and bright. Perfect for a simple Thanksgiving Table.
