Stitch Fix is a great online styling service for those that don’t like to shop, don’t have time to shop or simply don’t know what to shop for. It’s also a great way to experiment with new styles and trends that you may not have otherwise had the guts to try all on your own time and in the privacy of your own home.

I took a break from sharing my fixes the last couple of months because I don’t feel like they are as helpful as I would like them to be. I’d love to know what you think or if you would like me to do more with these posts to be more helpful. I’ve been toying with sharing my fixes and then doing a few ways to wear each item in different outfits. Would that be more helpful and inspiring? I’ve love to know.
February 2019 Stitch Fix
August Mist – Josey Textured Pullover
The description says it is a light purple but the color is kind of a grey – blush color. It’s is really pretty in person. The hem is also curved making it very flattering. It’s a little shorter than I normally prefer but with the hem, it looks really cute layered with a tank underneath.
Now that we are into March, we should be out of the coldest part of the winter so the lighter weight sweater is also a great transitional piece for early Spring.
I kept this piece and have worn it with regular jeans, grey skinny jeans and would love to try it layered under a blazer with a skirt. I also am anxious to try it with white jeans.
Daniel Rainn – Ferraro Split Neck Blouse
This blouse had me torn. One one hand the colors are beautiful and the style of blouse is exactly what I like to wear. It looks great dressed up or down. One the other hand, I’ve been really struggling with pattern lately. I just didn’t love the flower print so I didn’t think I’d wear the blouse enough.
Colourworks – Lillianna Speckled Lightweight Cardigan
This cardigan was a great neutral option and looked great layered over the blouse. The downside for me was the material was nearly identical to a sweater than I bought from LOFT last spring so I didn’t really want two similar sweaters.
The lightweight fabric, like the pullover above, is a great transitional option for early spring especially in areas where it doesn’t warm up right away.
Kensie Dresses – Mira Lace Dress
I specifically asked for a dress to wear to a semi-formal event this weekend and this is what my stylist sent. This dress was beautiful but I didn’t feel like it was quite formal enough for the event we are attending. Sadly I couldn’t think of any other reason I’d have to wear this beauty so I sent it back. Part of me wishes I kept it but I know it would have hung in my closet and not get worn.
Madewell – 10″ High Rise Skinny Jean
I’ve been on the hunt for a new pair of skinny jeans for the past 4 or 5 months. Because I’m trying to cut back on spending, I decided rather than go shopping myself and end up with more things than I need, I asked my stylist to find me something. She sent a pair a month or two ago that were all wrong but these lovelies were perfection in a skinny jean!
Maybe it’s my age and the fact that my body isn’t 26 anymore or maybe it’s the fabric. Either way, these jeans are amazing. The higher waist is not only extremely comfortable, I feel like it helps hold everything in. The fabric has stretch but it’s sturdy enough that the jeans don’t loose their shape after one wear. I’ve actually worn these a few times before washing and they look just as good the third time as they did the first.
More than I usually spend, the cost per wear makes them worth the investment. These will be a staple in my wardrobe for a long time. I obviously kept these.
That’s my February Fix. My stylist has been the same for over a year and by now, she knows me and my style perfectly. I still try to work hard to leave helpful feedback each time so that she understands why I like or dislike something. I am anxious to see what she sends for March!
